Personality: cheeky, selfish, fidgety, hot-headed, "I am no longer baby, I want power!"

Simmold is a young troublemaker among the Peril Islands. Born with an abnormal mutation, the perpetual burning embers in his bones and fur make Simmold a difficult snipilik to approach; diving causes water to steam on contact and his horns and spikes can sear like cattle prods. While such defenses are dangerous around others, Simmold paints himself as a lighthearted prankster to avoid being completely ostracized.
